Kenko alternatives in India: studio software priced in rupees

Last verified: 25 September 2026

Kenko alternatives come up when a studio in India wants its software priced and billed in rupees. Kenko, from Spotbee, Inc. in San Francisco, bills Indian studios in US dollars and now leads with done-for-you AI marketing, with booking sold as one of its plans.

We make StudioFly, studio software built for class-led studios in India, so read this as one maker's comparison. Every Kenko fact below comes from Kenko's own pages, checked on 25 September 2026, and we say where Kenko suits a studio better.

Kenko is a trademark of its owner. StudioFly is not affiliated with or endorsed by Kenko. Other product names on this page belong to their owners.

Choose StudioFly if

  • You want plans priced and billed in rupees, with every plan's price and features published
  • You invoice with GST and want members to pay by UPI through Razorpay
  • You want leads, CRM, products and inventory in the same workspace as your classes
  • You want email, ticket and phone support on every plan

Look elsewhere if

  • Members must pick a particular reformer, bike or spot
  • You want ClassPass and Gympass bookings flowing into your schedule
  • You want a done-for-you marketing team bundled with the software
  • Families book for each other and share memberships
PRICING

What each one publishes.

Kenko

  • Pricing page, viewed from India on 25 Sep 2026, shows US dollars: Growth (done-for-you marketing) $499 per month, Growth + Booking $699 per month, Booking $399 per month; Booking can be added to Growth for $200/mo.1
  • The branded customer app costs an additional $89 per month; the generic Kenko app is free. Booking can be added to the Growth marketing plan for $200 a month. Spot booking is a premium feature enabled through a Kenko rep (no price given).2,1,20
  • Kenko says it charges no setup fee, and starts charging the subscription right after the kick-off call. Onboarding excludes master-data setup (pricing options, class schedules, staff); Kenko's team can do it for an additional, unpriced fee.5,6
  • After the trial, the studio chooses a plan and signs a contract. Subscriptions have a lock-in period; cancellation is processed only towards its expiry, with 30 days' notice. Kenko's terms: fees are charged in advance for the agreed subscription term, are non-cancellable and non-refundable, and exclude taxes.3,36,37
  • A separate pricing landing page (listed in Kenko's sitemap) still shows an older plan set: Pro $199/month, Premium $399/month, a Marketing Bundle '+ $199/mo FREE', and Enterprise 'Talk to us'.27

StudioFly (India)

  • Growth: ₹1,999 a month, or ₹19,999 a year
  • Pro: ₹2,999 a month, or ₹29,999 a year
  • Enterprise: ₹44,999 a year; monthly billing on request
  • Prices exclude GST. Every plan includes one location and unlimited members, with a 7-day free trial in India. See pricing
HOW TO COMPARE

Five questions worth asking.

  1. What will you pay, and in which currency?

Ask for the plan price, the add-ons you need (a branded app, spot booking, extra dashboard seats) and the billing currency together, and check what your bank charges to convert.

  2. Can members pay by UPI on every kind of plan?

Check whether UPI works for recurring memberships or only for one-off payment links, and how long a link stays valid.

  3. Do invoices carry your GST details?

Ask for a sample invoice with your GSTIN and the CGST and SGST, or IGST, split. A generic tax ID field is not the same thing.

  4. What does the contract commit you to?

Ask about lock-in periods, notice and refunds before you sign after the trial.

  5. Who helps you, and when?

Compare support hours in your own time zone, and what help continues once onboarding ends.

THE ALTERNATIVES

Options worth comparing.

IN FAIRNESS

Where Kenko is the better choice.

Members choose their spot

Members pick a spot (bike, reformer or other equipment) from a visual layout in the app or on the website. Self-serve custom spot layouts were added on 21 Sep 2026 (the August help article still said custom layouts were not supported).4,10

Bookings from ClassPass and Gympass

Kenko integrates with ClassPass (bookings flow into Kenko) and lets studios choose which classes sync to ClassPass and Gympass.29

A marketing team and an AI sales agent

Kenko's home page positions it as done-for-you AI marketing for boutique studios. Buddy is an AI sales agent that chats with website visitors and books trial classes.38,33

Families and shared memberships

Members add related contacts (for example family) online, and can book them using the related contact's own credits. Shared memberships let a buyer add friends or family to one membership.30,31

A migration done for you

Kenko migrates contacts, active memberships, future bookings, balances and gift cards overnight before go-live; booking history, cancelled or expired memberships and payment plans are not migrated. Kenko offers to buy out the studio's remaining contract with its current software and move its data.39,27

SWITCHING

Moving from Kenko to StudioFly.

A realistic plan, step by step. Nothing here needs to happen in a hurry.

  1. Export what you have

Download your customer list as a CSV from Kenko's Customers table, and download the reports you need (they can cover all locations) before CRM access ends. Kenko's own migration service leaves out booking history, expired memberships and payment plans, so export anything you want to keep. Cancelling means emailing billing and serving any lock-in period, with no refunds, and the branded apps are taken down after the end date. (Sources 50, 15, 36, 39, checked 25 Sep 2026.)

  2. Set up StudioFly

Create your class types, recurring classes, membership plans, packs and staff roles, so the structure is ready before members arrive.

  3. Import your members

Bring member records across with a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) import, and check the imported records before you use them.

  4. Plan payments

Saved cards and recurring set-ups usually can’t be moved between payment providers, so plan how members will pay their next fee through StudioFly.

  5. Choose a switch date

Pick a quiet week, tell members the date and what changes for them, and move bookings over on that day. How long it takes depends on your member count, your plans and how much history you move.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
