StudioBookings alternatives in India: studio software priced in rupees

Last verified: 25 September 2026

StudioBookings is booking software for yoga, Pilates, barre, dance and cycling studios, from StudioBookingsOnline LLC in the US. It publishes simple prices in US dollars, set by how many instructors you have, and takes payments through Stripe or PayPal.

For a studio in India, the questions that decide it are rupee billing, UPI, GST invoices and WhatsApp. We make StudioFly; this page compares the options on those and on the class workflow, with every fact sourced and dated 25 September 2026.

StudioBookings is a trademark of its owner. StudioFly is not affiliated with or endorsed by StudioBookings. Other product names on this page belong to their owners.

Choose StudioFly if

  • You want plans priced and billed in rupees
  • Members pay by UPI through Razorpay, and you invoice with GST
  • You want WhatsApp reminders, CRM and products in the same workspace
  • You run more than one location and want Location Performance by branch

Look elsewhere if

  • You want a low published US-dollar price for a solo instructor: look at StudioBookings
  • Parents share passes with their children: look at StudioBookings or Arketa
  • Members must choose a numbered spot: look at Arketa or Kenko
  • You want a shared member app included at no extra cost: look at StudioBookings

HOW TO COMPARE

Five questions worth asking.

  1. Will you pay in rupees or US dollars?

Check the billing currency and what your bank charges to convert, as well as the headline price.

  2. Can members pay by UPI, including renewals?

Ask which gateway you'd use in India and whether recurring passes work with it.

  3. Do invoices carry GST?

A sales-tax or VAT rate isn't the same as a GST invoice with your GSTIN and the tax split.

  4. Does a freed place go to the next person automatically?

Check whether members join waitlists themselves and are moved in without staff stepping in.

  5. Can you take your data with you?

Ask how to export members, passes and bookings, and what happens to your data when you cancel.

THE ALTERNATIVES

Options worth comparing.

StudioFly

  • Every plan’s price and what it includes is published: Growth, Pro and Enterprise in rupees, with a 7-day free trial in India, no card needed and no setup fee.
  • One workspace for members, leads and CRM, classes, GST billing, WhatsApp reminders and campaigns, email campaigns, and products and inventory. CRM and product management are on every plan; WhatsApp Business API on your own number and Email Marketing Premium are included on Enterprise.
  • UPI, cards and netbanking through Razorpay (Pro and Enterprise; add-on on Growth); GST invoices with GSTR-1 export on every plan.
  • Owners see every location from one login, with a Location Performance view by branch; extra locations are paid add-ons. The Full Website API (Enterprise, or an add-on on Pro) takes bookings and sales on your own website.
  • AI Business Pack: AI insights, a business assistant and a WhatsApp AI agent (Enterprise, or an add-on on Growth and Pro).
  • Email, ticket and phone support on every plan. Tickets get an AI reply around the clock, and a person replies within 2 business hours. Enterprise adds a dedicated customer success manager for onboarding, training and handholding.
  • There’s no consumer marketplace and no choice of a particular machine, and the mobile apps are coming soon.

Consider StudioFly for rupee pricing, UPI, GST invoices and WhatsApp in one workspace built for class-led studios in India; choose StudioBookings for a simple US-dollar booking tool with a free shared app.

StudioFly in India

Arketa

  • Viewed from India, Individual is shown as $49/mo, billed annually (save 17%), plus 3% transaction fee and Stripe fees.20
  • With spot booking enabled, clients choose a spot from a room map at checkout; staff can assign or change spots.21
  • Family sharing supports shared packages and memberships, parent booking and waivers for children.22

Consider Arketa for room maps and family sharing, if Stripe works for your business.

Kenko

  • Pricing page, viewed from India on 25 Sep 2026, shows US dollars: Growth (done-for-you marketing) $499 per month, Growth + Booking $699 per month, Booking $399 per month; Booking can be added to Growth for $200/mo.23
  • Razorpay is Kenko's payment gateway in India, and the only one available there.24
  • Members join waitlists themselves from the app or website; the studio chooses 'Automatically Book' (first on the list is booked) or 'Inform Everyone'. A credit is deducted on joining.25

Consider Kenko for spot selection, self-join waitlists and marketing services, if billing in US dollars works for you.

Bookday

  • Quote only, viewed from India on 25 Sep 2026: four plans (Solo, Studio, Premium, Enterprise) are shown with feature lists but no prices; each links to 'Book a demo' or 'Contact us'. https://bookday.io/pricing redirects to the home page.26
  • Razorpay is one of five payment providers, 'available for studios in India and other supported regions'; the studio enters its own Razorpay Key ID and Key Secret. Recurring subscriptions work only with Stripe, so they are not available to a studio using Razorpay.27
  • A branded member app on the App Store and Google Play under the studio's name (Premium plan).26

Consider Bookday for a lean booking tool with a branded app; recurring memberships need Stripe.

SWITCHING

Moving from StudioBookings to StudioFly.

A realistic plan, step by step. Nothing here needs to happen in a hurry.

  1. Export what you have

StudioBookings' help centre implies the owner can export or print the member list but gives no step-by-step export, so ask support for your members, passes and bookings before you cancel. On cancellation all studio and member data is deleted, 30 days after termination under the privacy policy. (Sources 28, 29, 30, checked 25 Sep 2026.)

  2. Set up StudioFly

Create your class types, recurring classes, membership plans, packs and staff roles, so the structure is ready before members arrive.

  3. Import your members

Bring member records across with a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) import, and check the imported records before you use them.

  4. Plan payments

Saved cards and recurring set-ups usually can’t be moved between payment providers, so plan how members will pay their next fee through StudioFly.

  5. Choose a switch date

Pick a quiet week, tell members the date and what changes for them, and move bookings over on that day. How long it takes depends on your member count, your plans and how much history you move.
