Before you start
- A StudioFly login, as the owner or a staff member, at a studio where the AI connector is enabled. The AI connector is included on the Pro and Enterprise plans and available as an add-on on Growth. If it is not enabled for your studio, Claude tells you so, and the account owner can switch it on in StudioFly.
- A Claude account. Any Claude plan can add a custom connector; the Free plan allows one.
Connect from the Claude directory
- On claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors.
- Choose Browse connectors and search for "StudioFly".
- Select StudioFly, then choose Connect.
- Sign in with your StudioFly login.
- If your login works at more than one studio, pick the studio under Which business?
- Choose Approve. You return to Claude, connected.
The StudioFly listing appears in the directory once Anthropic publishes it. Until then, add it as a custom connector, as below.
Or add it as a custom connector
- On claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors, choose +, then Add custom connector.
- Name:
StudioFly - URL:
https://mcp.studiofly.fit/mcp - If Claude asks how it should identify itself (the OAuth client), choose Register automatically. Leave the client ID and client secret empty.
- Choose Add, then Connect. Sign in with your StudioFly login, pick the studio if asked, and choose Approve.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector once, under Organization settings → Connectors (Add → Custom → Web), with the same name and URL. Each person then connects with their own StudioFly login from Customize → Connectors.
To use it in a chat, choose + → Connectors and turn StudioFly on.
What you can ask
- Today at a glance: check-ins, who is in now, class bookings, personal training and revenue.
- One member: their memberships and class packs, end dates, sessions left, dues and recent visits.
- Memberships and class packs ending soon that have not been renewed.
- Who owes money, and how much.
- Members with an active plan who have stopped coming.
- Attendance by day, weekday and hour, including your busiest hours.
- Revenue and collections by payment mode.
- Payments received in a period, or one member's payment history.
- Leads, conversions and the follow-ups due today or overdue.
- Renewals coming up and members likely to lapse.
- Member counts by status, plan and branch, new members and who is frozen.
- Expenses by category, profit and margin, if your studio tracks expenses.
- The class schedule, with bookings and waitlists, for a day or up to 14 days.
- Personal training delivered and booked, by trainer.
- Staff who checked in today and who is in now.
- Which biometric devices are online.
Each answer follows your role's permissions, and a question about a period can cover up to 24 months. Try:
- "Whose class pack or membership ends in the next 7 days and hasn't been renewed?"
- "How much did we collect last month, by payment mode?"
- "What classes are on tomorrow, and which ones have a waitlist?"
Changes it can make
Each change takes two steps. Claude first shows a preview of exactly what would change: who, what, before and after, and who is told. Only then does it make the change. A preview can be used once, within 10 minutes, and nothing is ever done twice.
- Book a member into a class.
- Schedule a class session, or a weekly series of sessions.
- Check a member in.
- Add a lead.
- Log the response to a lead or member follow-up.
- Cancel a class session. Its bookings end with no penalty, and booked members get a notice.
- Send one member a payment reminder.
- Extend a membership.
- Freeze a membership, when the freeze carries no fee.
- Submit a WhatsApp message template to Meta for approval, for a studio that sends WhatsApp from its own number. The template is not sent to anyone.
Five of these message people or are hard to undo: a class cancellation, a payment reminder, extending a membership, freezing a membership and submitting a template. Claude makes these only after you say yes to the preview. Claude also asks for your approval before it runs a tool that changes data, unless you have set that tool to Always allow in the connector's tool permissions.
What it can't do
- No payments, refunds, discounts or voids, and no creating or editing bills or invoices.
- It cannot list or export all your members.
- It never shows anyone's pay, bank or ID details, passwords or other credentials. Staff costs appear only as an expense category's total.
- It cannot see another business. The studio comes from your sign-in, never from what you type in a question.
- It cannot delete anything.
- Membership cancellations, freezes that carry a fee, messages to many members at once, and changes to staff or settings stay in the StudioFly app.
When you ask for one of these, Claude says it can't be done here and points you to the StudioFly app.
Permissions
- It acts as you. It sees only what your own role and branches can see, and each change needs the same permission it needs in the dashboard. For example, a front-desk staff member without the "Check-in Members" permission can't check a member in through Claude either.
- The owner sets what each staff role can do in Settings → Roles & Permissions.
- In Claude, you can set each of the connector's tools to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked, under Customize → Connectors → StudioFly → Tool permissions.
Disconnect
There are two ways:
- In Claude: open Customize → Connectors, select StudioFly and choose Disconnect, or Remove to take it off your list.
- In StudioFly: open Connected AI apps at app.studiofly.fit/oauth/connections and choose Disconnect. This ends the connection at once: Claude can no longer reach your studio. It lists the connections made with your own login.
You can connect again at any time.
