How do you book a Pilates class online?
The steps from timetable to check-in, how to book your first trial class, and the details a booking confirmation should always include.

To book a Pilates class online, open the studio's booking page or member app, find the class on the timetable and check its level, then tap to book your spot. Pay there or use a credit from your pack. You'll usually get a confirmation on WhatsApp or email, often a reminder before class, and on the day you check in at the desk or by scanning a QR code.
The steps below are the ones most booking apps share. Button names change from studio to studio, but the order rarely does.
Booking a class, step by step
1. Find the timetable
Start from the studio's website or the booking link it shares on WhatsApp. Look for a button marked Book, Schedule or Timetable. If you can't find one easily, that tells you something about the studio, and it's one of the points to weigh when you choose a Pilates studio with good online booking.
The first time, you'll create an account with your name, phone number and email. Some studios also ask for a short health form. Once you're in, save the link to your phone's home screen, so you aren't hunting through old chats at 6.30 in the morning.
2. Choose the class and the level
Most timetables show each class with its type, level, instructor and start time. Reformer and mat are different classes, usually at different prices, so check which one you're booking. You can often filter by discipline, which helps at studios that also run yoga or barre.
New to Pilates? Choose a beginner or foundations class, even if you're fit from running or the gym. The reformer has springs, straps and a moving carriage, and an instructor needs to teach you how to use them safely.
3. Book your spot
Tap the class, check the date and time, and confirm. The class page often shows the spots left. If Monday's 7 a.m. reformer class shows one spot left on Sunday night, book it then, not in the morning.
If the class is full, join the waitlist instead, where the studio offers one. When someone cancels, the first person on the list gets the place, often without having to do anything.
4. Pay, or use your pack
With a class pack or membership, the booking draws on that, and you won't be asked to pay again. Without one, you'll pay for a single class or a pack when you book. In India that usually means UPI, card or netbanking, though some studios still take payment at the desk.
Packs come with an expiry date. Check your balance and the validity before you plan the month, so no classes go to waste.
5. Check in on the day
Get there a little early for your first class, so the instructor can show you the reformer and ask about injuries. At studios with QR check-in, you scan a code at reception and confirm on your phone; elsewhere, staff mark you present from the class list. Checking in is how the studio records that you came, and it's often when a pack credit is used.
Booking your first trial class
A trial class lets you try a studio before you buy a pack. Some trials are free; others are paid. When we checked published prices on 24 September 2026 for our research on Pilates and yoga class prices in India, we found 13 paid single-class trials, from ₹49 to ₹1,500, with a median of ₹899.
To book one, look for a trial or intro offer on the studio's booking page. Choose a beginner class, add your details and pay if it's a paid trial. Expect a message or call afterwards asking how it went. That's normal, and it's a good moment to ask which pack suits you.
Tell the studio about any injury, pregnancy or recent surgery when you book. If you're unsure whether Pilates suits you right now, ask your doctor or physiotherapist first. And if you can't make the trial, cancel it in the app like any other booking instead of simply not turning up.
What your booking confirmation should tell you
A booking confirmation is the studio's record that a spot in a class is yours. Read it properly once, rather than glancing at the tick. A good one tells you:
- the class name and type, such as reformer or mat, and its level;
- the date, start time and length;
- the studio's address, or the branch if it has more than one;
- the instructor;
- how you paid, or which pack the class came from;
- the cancellation deadline, or where to find the policy.
If something is wrong, message the studio the same day. A wrong branch, or 7 p.m. booked instead of 7 a.m., is easy to fix a day ahead and hard to fix ten minutes before class.
A reminder is different. The confirmation arrives when you book, and a reminder comes closer to the class, often the day before or a few hours ahead. If no confirmation arrives at all, don't assume you're booked: open your bookings in the app and check.
If you run a studio
Make the timetable and the booking link easy to find, and show the level on every class. In StudioFly, members book their own spot up to the capacity you set, see how many spots are left, and get the confirmation on WhatsApp and email, with a class reminder on WhatsApp. Prospects can book a free or paid trial class from your online booking page, and your team follows up after the class. Questions people ask
Do I need an app to book a Pilates class?
No, you can usually book in your phone's browser. Plenty of studios take bookings on a web page, and others use a member app you sign in to. A few still take bookings only on WhatsApp, which works but makes open spots harder to see. Ask the studio for its booking link and save it to your home screen.
How do I book a trial class at a new studio?
Look for a trial or intro offer on the studio's booking page, then book it like any class. Pick a beginner session, add your name, phone number and email, and pay if the trial is paid. If there's no online option, message the studio and ask it to confirm the date, time and price in writing.
Can I book a Pilates class for the same day?
Yes, as long as spots are left. Most apps let you book until shortly before the class starts, though some studios close bookings earlier so the instructor can prepare. Early-morning and evening reformer classes often fill first, so same-day places are easier to find in the middle of the day.
What if I don't get a booking confirmation?
Check your bookings in the app first. If the class is listed, you're booked, and the message may have gone to spam or an old number. If it isn't listed, the booking didn't go through, so try again or message the studio. Don't turn up assuming you have a spot.
