ChatGPT class booking: book, schedule and cancel classes by chat
See the preview.
ChatGPT class booking with StudioFly means you can book a member into a class, add a session or a weekly series, check someone in or cancel a class by typing what you need. Each request comes back as a preview that shows the class, the places before and after and who will be told, and nothing changes until you say yes.

How does ChatGPT class booking work?
ChatGPT class booking works through StudioFly's connector. You ask in plain words, such as “Book Arjun Mehta into tomorrow's 7am Vinyasa class”, and ChatGPT asks StudioFly for a preview. The preview names the member, the class, its date and time, the places before and after, and whether a booking confirmation will be sent. It changes nothing. StudioFly applies the same capacity, class pack and daily-limit checks as the dashboard, so it never overbooks. The preview ends with “Shall I go ahead?”, and the booking is made only after you say yes; ChatGPT may show its own approval card too. Scheduling a session or a weekly series, checking someone in and canceling a class work the same way. Each preview works once, within 10 minutes. It's a tool for your team: members keep booking their own spot in the member app.
Book a member into a class
Name the member (by name, member code or phone) and the class by its date and start time, plus the class name if two start together. StudioFly finds the session and checks it the way your front desk would: is there a place, does the member hold a pack or membership that covers it, and have they reached a daily booking limit?
If the class is full, the connector won't overbook it. Members can still join the waitlist themselves in the member app, and the first person waiting moves in automatically when a place frees up. When a booking is made, the member gets the usual booking confirmation.
Ask for a preview only
Sometimes you just want to check. Add “don't book it yet” and ChatGPT stops at the preview. At the demo studio, it confirmed that nothing had been booked and showed what would happen: Meghna Bose into Barre Sculpt on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, 6:30–7:15 PM, the class going from 0/12 to 1/12 booked, and a WhatsApp booking confirmation for Meghna.
A preview stays usable for 10 minutes, and only once. Come back later, or let something change in the meantime, such as the last spot going to someone else, and StudioFly refuses the old preview. ChatGPT then asks for a new one, so you always act on the class as it is now.
Schedule a class or a weekly series
Adding a one-off class or a regular slot is one request. “Add a Reformer Pilates class on Thursday at 5pm” schedules a single session. Give the weekdays and how long it runs (an end date, a number of weeks or a number of sessions) and StudioFly previews the whole weekly series at once, with one confirmation for all of it.
With no end given, a series runs 12 weeks, like the dashboard's “Never” setting. Days the studio is closed are skipped and listed in the preview. If the same class already runs at that time, or the instructor is busy, the preview warns you rather than refusing, just as the dashboard does.
Scheduling messages nobody. Members find the new classes when they next book.
- “Add a Mat Pilates class on Saturday at 9:30am.”
- “Schedule Barre Sculpt every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm for 6 weeks.”
- “Add Restorative Yoga every Thursday at 8am until the end of November.”
Cancel a class, fairly
When an instructor calls in sick, ask ChatGPT to cancel the session and say why. The preview counts the bookings and shows who can be sent a notice. Like every change, it ends with “Shall I go ahead?” and waits for your yes, which matters here because the cancellation messages members.
A cancellation by the studio is treated as the studio's call: every booking and the waitlist are canceled with no penalty and no session used from anyone's pack, and each booked member gets one cancellation notice. Nobody is moved off the waitlist into a class that isn't running.
Check members in from the chat
On a busy morning, “Check Lakshmi Narayan in now” records a manual check-in after a preview and your yes. The member needs a live membership or class pack, the time is now unless you give an earlier one, and a class they booked at that time can be marked attended. Nobody is messaged.
Check-ins made this way land in the same attendance reports as every other visit, so your busiest-hours numbers stay complete.
Bookings by chat, on the plan you're on
Class booking from ChatGPT uses the same connector as every other request, so there's nothing separate to buy for it.
The AI connector is included on the Pro and Enterprise plans and available as an add-on on Growth.
Growth add-on: ₹300 a month or ₹3,000 a year (in India) $5 a month or $50 a year (outside India) , plus applicable taxes.
Class booking from ChatGPT FAQs
Want to talk through your own setup?
Let’s have a conversationCan members book classes through ChatGPT?
This connector is for your team: owners and staff connect with their own StudioFly login. Members keep booking their own spot in the StudioFly member app or on your booking page.
Can ChatGPT add someone to a waitlist?
Not through the connector. When a class is full, ChatGPT won't overbook it. Members join the waitlist themselves in the member app, and your team can add people in StudioFly.
Does the member get a confirmation?
Yes. A booking made through ChatGPT sends the member the usual booking confirmation, and the preview tells you how it will go out, for example by WhatsApp.
Will canceling a class cost members a session?
No. A class canceled by the studio ends every booking with no penalty and no session used, and each booked member gets one cancellation notice.
Can ChatGPT book a member into several classes at once?
A booking is one member into one session, each with its own preview. For several classes, ask for each one; it keeps every booking easy to check.
Do I need a separate plan for booking by chat?
No. Class booking from ChatGPT is part of the AI connector, like every other request. The AI connector is included on the Pro and Enterprise plans and available as an add-on on Growth. The add-on costs ₹300 a month or ₹3,000 a year for studios in India, or $5 a month or $50 a year elsewhere, plus applicable taxes.
